JKPK Movie Night 2022

On Friday, 1 April 2022, the Petrochemical Engineering Department's Student Club hosted the first "Movie Night" at the Petrochemical Engineering Department's Mini Auditorium. The cost of a movie ticket is only RM2, which is very reasonable. This event starts at 7:45 p.m until 10:15 p.m. Movie Night aims to calm students' emotions while also introducing them to the world of cinema at Politeknik Kuching Sarawak. This programme was well-received, with a total of 96 students willing to attend to see the film John Wick 3: Parabellum. The students come from various departments.

Furthermore, the Petrochemical Engineering Department's Student Club sells a variety of delicious food items such as Mac & Cheese, Chicken Popcorn, Popcorn, and Fries. The meals were prepared by members of the Higher Council. The Student Club's advisor, Encik Muhammad Azri Izani Bin Mohamad Halim, and members of the Higher Council set up the Mini Auditorium. This programme was the first event managed by the Higher Council in 2022. Despite being the first event, it received a positive response from students.

Last but not least, the Movie Night has provided a fun experience for all students while also strengthening their friendships. We spend hours and hours away from our families every day for school, so it is critical to try to make the most of your time by doing something enjoyable, such as this programme. Making time in our busy lives to watch movies together can be difficult, but it is essential for developing and maintaining friendships. We are looking forward to the next Movie Night and hope that more students will attend! Stay tuned.
